Monster Pork Shanks

This will make approxametly one portions

 

You will need:

  • 1 pork shank ,you may have to ask your butcher for this cut also get them to score it for you
  • 500g of beef dripping
  • Salt & pepper toseason
  • Chinese five spice powder

Instructions 

  • Place the dripping in a tray on the hob to slowly melt
  • Spinkle the shank with five spice powder ,salt & pepper and rub it in
  • Place in the tray of beef dripping and cover with foil
  • Place in the oven for 5 hours at about 110 degrees
  • remove foil and bake at 180 degrees for another hour
  • allow to rest for 15 minutes
